MY DAD
My Dad, Pablo Ventura Corpuz, passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly, on Saturday, September 1, 2012, in Honolulu. He was 65.
Pablo was born in Bagbag, Solsona, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, the son of Juan Jacinto Corpuz and the late Fructosa Ventura Corpuz. He attended school in the Philippines, including a year of automotive training in trade school.
Shortly after arriving in Hawaii in 1970 he began a long association with the transportation industry first as a taxi driver and later as a driver for VIP Transportation.
Pablo loved fast cars but never broke the speed limit.
He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife, Leslie, his sons, Robert, Evan, and Sean, his father, Juan, his sisters Inocencia Corpuz Coloma, and Liz Corpuz Delfico; along with many nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.
Pablo made the world a better place for everyone who loved him.
We'd love to hear any fond memories and stories you have to share about our beloved Pablo in the comments. He will always be remembered as a father, husband, son, brother and friend; an unassuming man of quiet strength, kindness, sacrifice, unlimited patience, and a contagious laugh; a man who always did whatever needed to be done without being asked and who never complained or asked for gratitude; a man who would take you anywhere you needed to go.
